CO2 Copper Fittings - R744

The NDL CO2 copper fittings (C19400 high-pressure copper) are specifically designed for use in CO2 refrigeration systems. These fittings are made from a high-quality copper alloy that provides added strength and durability. The unique design of these fittings allows for a secure and long-lasting connection, making them ideal for use in high-pressure applications. Some properties of the NDL CO2 fittings are thicker walls, higher weight, tight fit, and size stamped on each fitting for easy identification. NDL also offers a copper tee for service valves, these tee copper fittings are used in refrigeration systems specifically for installing a service valve on a tube. They are easy to install and provide a tight, leak-free seal. Suitable for service valves with 10 mm stainless steel stubs (for example, NDL CO2-HS10).

NDL’s CO2 fittings are made of high-pressure copper-iron alloy that you can rely on for high-quality performance. NDL ensures copper quality content and strict adherence to meet or exceed ASME B16.22 standards for wall thickness. The high-pressure copper-iron alloy fittings are tested for actual burst pressure with the results exceeding 3 times the design pressure. Each fitting is marked with “CO2 130 BAR” and OD size for easy field identification while also being poly-bagged within the box, keeping them clean and contaminant-free prior to installation. The fittings have tight tolerances on the cup side for a stronger joint with the tube and easier brazing. NDL also offers an unparalleled 10-Year Ultimate Protection Warranty which will cover the loss of refrigerant and labor to replace the failed fitting, but their fittings have had zero reported failures since 1999 so not much to worry about there. NDL also discovered the need for a copper tee for service valves. When working with CO2 refrigeration systems, it’s important to consider the high-pressure levels involved. Access ports commonly used in regular refrigeration systems may not be suitable for use with CO2 systems, as the Schrader valve seal can break under pressure, necessitating the venting of the entire line. To avoid this issue, it is recommended to use a service valve that can be closed, enabling workers to easily connect and disconnect equipment as needed. While installing a service valve may require more time upfront, it is generally preferred by workers who regularly service equipment. NDL tee fittings are designed specifically for the installation of service valves, streamlining the process, and ensuring a secure, leak-free seal. By using a service valve and the NDL specialized fitting, you can prevent high-pressure problems and make your work more efficient.

Air conditioning and refrigeration. Designed for high-pressure applications, especially for CO (R744) systems.
